Well after watching The Push I figured that I might ought to give a fixed crawl a serious try, after all it had been awhile since I really changed anything in my shot. And I gotta say that they were right about becoming consistent quickly. It is pretty easy and as much as I have bucked against even shooting 3 under until now, mostly because the feel of the shot was off, until I find something that will work better I'm gonna stick with the fixed crawl. Now I just gotta get a set of arrows that are matched up with the 60 pounder a little better and I'll be in good shape for the near future.
Fixed crawl can be very accurate with repeatable form. My go to for turkeys with the small vitals target.
Very accurate shooting system for barebow
Whats The Push?
A film on traditional archery. It's on youtube.
Go to PowWow there is a thread there on it with a link.
Watch "The Push" on Youtube. He explains why the fixed crawl is so good from 5 to 30 yd. Very clear and understandable.
I started using a fixed crawl the last two years. For close in shots it is very effective technique.
