Whats the best video out there to watch for someone to get tips on form and what not. thanks everyone
-
whose form ? That, in my mind, is an issue. . .
There are a lot of "styles" out there. Most are very similar, but each one espouses certain things that the others don't.
I might suggest you watch several different "form" videos and then take the best of each for your use. We each have certain features that makes it easy or tough to do what everybody else does.

Watch Moebow's videos on YouTube
Watch Jimmy Blackmon's videos on YouTube.
Watch the 4 volume set, Masters of the Bare Bow, to get ideas on how many other excellent traditional archers shoot. This set of videos gives you a good idea of a range of shooting styles, so you don't make the mistake of thinking there is only one way to shoot the bow.
Watch Rick Welch's videos on his unique shooting style. While I actually like his method the best, some subtleties really don't come across in his videos. You really need a lesson from him if you are interested in his style.
Read Terry Green's "Terry's Form Clock" series of posts at the top of the Shooting Form section, and watch the Tradgang video.
That should give you enough to occupy your time between now and Christmas!

X2 what McDave said !

-
i just cant seem to get into the back.muscles so i need some good video to help me out a lil
-
Rod Jenkin's section in MBB 3 deals specifically with this issue.
-
Every person's tutorial is different but I really benefited from Rick Welch's material!
-
I have found Moebows rotational draw really helped me get my back into it.
-
Ditto, Moebows rotational draw video is one of the best.
-
X2 michael- i switched to the rick welch method of shooting- the back tension "worked automatically"
my accuracy improved, my consistency is really what improved!!
check him out on you tube- and then i bought his video- awesome- biggest difference for ME... as said above so many different techniques and styles- what worked for me
cheers and good luck

There is no best, try them all and use what works for you.

Moebow...
Watching Arne's videos helped me more than anyone else... and Rick Welch spent some time with me too.
-
Watch Rod Jenkin's video on trad gang shooting.
-
I'd suggest posting some videos on the Shooters Forum and getting some feedback on there. Watching videos is all well and good, but it's really best to get a trained eye to watch you shoot. Also, having a really light bow to practice with will really help you. It is possible that you will dramatically increase your draw length and, as a result, your current bow might be too heavy, or stack, at the increased draw length.
-
Arne and Jimmy Blackmon's videos have been the best for me.
-
Another vote for Arne Moe! Great instructor, great person.
-
Also, while checking out Moebow's vids on youtube, don't skip the "Rubber band" video. I skipped it for quite a while for some dumb reason, but when I finally watched it a few things "clicked" for me and helped me out a LOT.
All previous recommendations have been good ones for me too.
-
May not be the best but it's free... :D I created these to help aspiring trad bowhunters.
It's my series of shot sequence videos with the current updates.

Thanks Ryan! Excellent!!
-
Thank you Wayne.
The numbered videos are old and "basic". The ones with the ***asterisks*** are updated and are more detailed.
I need to find some time to sit down and fully update all of them.
Aloha!

You may want to check out a form master and a string bow, worked for me after taking Rod Jenkin's class.
-
Check out the 'wolfie' trad videos on YouTube. They won't cost you a penny, he has excellent form, and he explains his style and process with common sense simplicity...a somewhat rare quality in instructional videos these days.

There is no best as..... in there is no Best Bow or best arrow or best broadhead.... again there is no best ....
find what works for you and your style and your mental make up and go with it.... take what you can and leave the rest on the table from multiple videos
