So a coworker says that her husband brought home a barrel full of new wooden arrow shafts that his buddy gave to him from an arrow factory???? I asked her about where they are from and she has no info, but is bringing me a hand full so I can spine test them tomorrow. Check this out! They have been using some in their garden for stakes. Lol :knothead:
I can figure the spine on a homemade scale, but I was wondering if there is any way to identify the wood???
I asked her how thick they are and she said "maybe a little bigger than 1/4" so I'm thinking maybe 5/16"? I also asked her if they we're rejects or bent and she said that they aren't warped. I am just very excited about the possibility of these working for me and my buddies and scoring a barrel full of shafts for cheap. I will post pics tomorrow. :archer2:

Welcome to Trad Gang, I used to live in SL area.
You'll get some better answers on the "Pow Wow" or maybe the "bowyer's bench." This is the "form" forum.
