I shot my Fred Bear recurve today. its a 1970 something. it was given to me by bud b and slim grim. i had a Matthews compound before but have always wanted a long or recurve bow. i fell in love when i first laid eyes on it and again today when i shot it. looking forward to hunting with it and getting to know you guys.
-
welcome !
And grats on your new to you Fred bear bow.
-
Thanks buddy. slim grim came by today and we shot around in the yard. Im about to go back outside and practice some more. id love to kill a white tail with it possibly hog before then.
-
LOL same here .
hope your groupings are tight :)

Just an update i was shooting at further distances this afternoon. i have now lost an arrow and destroyed 2 fetching is missing on one and the head is stuck into a root on another. i think Im getting better as far as accuracy goes.
-
Get a jump on things now and order another dozen arrows.
-
I have about 20 but no heads on them. I have one good one left.
-
My bush hog finds all the one that seem to skim just under the surface, that I seem to never be able to find.
So I started to use these for target, now I loose a lot less arrows.
adder points they work good for stumps also

I run mine flipped, so acts less like a broad head tip

I have done a little research last night and this morning and i like the judo points and the hammer small game blunt. i think ill give both those a try.
-
Tomatolane i tried out the things you suggested i like them thanks for the advice.
