Here's an osage self bow i just finished up I named 'October' for the month I made it in. I knew from the start that it would prove to be a very special piece of wood. It has good rings, it doesn't have a single knot!, and held on to its original reflex like a champ. 63" ntn, an inch and a quarter wide at the fades and pulls 60#s at 28". I put on wenge overlays, backed it with Brazos River snake skins, and added a tortoise shell strike plate inlay, which is a first for me. I really like it. 'November', this bow's sister split, is coming along a nicely and also managed to grow knot free. Thats to come...
