Well it finally happened: I drew on a buck to count coup and the next thing I knew there was an arrow protruding out the far side of the deer. :knothead: :knothead:
As far as hiccups go... This seems to be a pretty nice one!
Congratulations!
LOL I ALMOST did that the other night Walt. It was so perfect I had to literally tell myself not to release. He wasn't near as big as that either. I might have let my fingers have their way if he had been that nice.
Congrats anyway  :notworthy:
I don't know how you live with yourself???!!!!
Congrats!
Congrats Walt!!!!!...NICE!
 Any details on Max? Looks like a pretty cool chuck of osage.
:biglaugh: Everyone says wood bows are more alive. Max done good! Just be grateful he took you along...
Congratulations!
Congrats , nice buck :0)
Congrats Walt! Glad the weather let up so Max could take you hunting.
good one Walt,congrats!
I did that once back when I shot alot of tournaments. :knothead: It was a forky.
Congrats Walt
Tracy
Congratulations, Walt! Jawge
Sometimes you got to go with the flow! Max musta been in the faster current this trip, dang it....nice buck though. Can't wait to hear the story in person, Walt! How's Lenny's luck going?
Congrats Walt!
Dang bow anyhow!!! ;)
It's that whole "ROSWELL" thing commin back ta haunt ya
Chris: The Mountains in the background go a long way towards consoling me.
Terry: Thanks, but I was trying to hold out for one near the size of yours.
Joe: Like you, I think to only way to stop those accidents to take the temptation away.
Aram: Max and I have become "REAL GOOD" buddies this season, though I think he is jealous/pi..ed that I took the Robertson to Illinois and hunted with it the last two weeks. I thinking this is his way of getting back at me.
Dave: The weather warmed up to much, I think it is the first time I really didn't want to wear my wool clothing while hunting in November.
Mark: Lenny took a doe on Sunday from a stand fifty yards from the one I was in this morning. He also passed on this buck last weekend.
Charlie: One of these days I will convince you to make me a Sunbear and I am sure that bow and me will have more amicable relationship.
Vance: Can you imagine the attitude adjustment Max would need if he had been subjected to ROSWELL?
:scared:
Way to go bud....not a bad mistake
I need to make a mistake like that!! Congrats!
I mentioned in a previous thread that the fear of doing that is why I quit doing it.
But that thread did get to me a bit so I did draw down on some bucks last week, WITHOUT AN ARROW.
Nice "mistake buck". Kind of like when you miss bird after bird and the dog looks back as if to say "are you gonna kill something today????". Sounds like Max got tired of just looking and took things into his own limbs. Hope you don't punish Max too harshly...
Walt , let me get this straight , you were cleaning your bow and it accidently went off right?
Nice buck!
Beautiful deer. Congrats.
Nice buck Walt,
Wish me luck tomorrow, hope to make that same mistake.
Bert.
Nice buck Walt! Nice bow too! CK
WOW!! What a great picture. The mountains are beautiful. Boy that buck has got a big neck on him. Nice going Walt!!! At least Max has good taste, look who he was hunting with and what he took. ;)
Congrats Walt!
It happens sometimes you just go with the moment.I did the "practice draw" thing last week myself. Had a couple of young does under me for several minutes, the biggest of the two stepped out and gave me one of those picture perfect poses.
I drew back to count coup,,and the next thing in my mind was "I'm shoot'n this one!" Great table fare and easy to drag out by myself!
Max is a rather bothersome friend isn't he
congrats Walt I think you should have Max talk to those other two as thats NOT TO BE PASSED ON BAD MOJO
