How much contact does your pointer finger make with the nock? the seam in about all the gloves I have shot rub a hangnail on my pointer finger. Is there any glove you can get a deep hook with and not have a seam right on your nail edge?

Switch to three under.

You don't say how long your bow is but it sounds like you're allowing the string to pinch your figure into the nock. Have you tried a tab? no seam to irritate the side of the index fingur

It is a 62 inch Martin. I am set at 3/4 above center. I tried going to 3 under but it feels so weird trying to find an anchor that works. I took pictures of myself to see if my elbow was to high but it seems okay. I am frusturated.

i tryed 2 or 3 different gloves trying to cure the same problem. i switched to a tab and cured the problem.

I also switched to a tab to solve this exact issue. I like the tabs that have a felt spacer and get mine at Basspro.

I shoot a dura-glove, they have a small seam, also try starting your draw with your index finger about 1/4" above your nock.

For someone to tell you to go to three under for this reason only is ridiculous. People have been shooting split finger for hundreds of years and haven't had this problem solely because of that. If your form isn’t good with split it won’t be good with 3 under; 3 under might hide the problem but split isn’t the cause!
Here's what I'd guess is happening.
1) You're torqueing the string and rotating the bottom edge of your draw hand upward which is forcing the index finger downward onto the nock.
2) Your draw elbow is too high which is causing a problem very similar but not identical to the above.
Try to ensure you’ve got even finger pressure on the string when drawing and anchoring (having uneven pressure can cause a torque simply because your hand may want to twist) and also make sure your draw hand is in proper alignment with the string.
This is hard (for ME) to explain without pictures but from personal experience, viewing other shooters and from what I’ve read your problem is likely created by one of the above and not your split finger style.

To add, I don't think bow length is the culprit! I shot 42" compounds years ago without finger pinch and I have a 31" to 32" draw. I now shoot 62" longbows and recurves at nearly 32" draw without this issue when I'm doing my job correctly.

I can't beleive it but I went to a tab and my arrows porpoise. I was looking at my glove and thinking about how my hand feels on the string. My pointer finger is deep, my middle finger is partially deep and my ring finger is on the pad. When I try to go even deep hook on my fingers it feels really weird and I get porpoising. Also with three under my arrows porpoise. Maybe my arrows are to stiff and when I pinch the nock it straightens the flight out by inducing torque. UGGHH. I am gonna try to video myself and put it on and see if i can get some info.

For what it's worth, I had the same problem with one particular bow, and the reason turned out to be that I was overdrawing it and mashing my finger down onto the knock.
I now shoot 3 under, but that's because I like it better and shoot better that way. It also eliminates the problem you're having but I won't change my whole style just for that.
If you're getting porposing with both styles, I'd say Tilzbow is right on with his #1 suggestion. The best solution I can think of is to go bale shooting - get about 5' from a target that's big enough you can't miss, close your eyes and concentrate on pulling your draw elbow straight back away from the bow parallel to your bow arm and your arrow - otherwise known as Terry's form clock.

What do you think of my form? I took one from overhead and it looks like I am in pretty good line. I accidentally erased it though. Anyhow, I fixed the problem I think. I took a couple of different general purpose gloves and shot with them on inside of my glove till I found one that felt good with no soreness on release. It turned out to be the knit white cotton gloves that you can get at any farm store. I cut the fingertip off and pushed it down in my glove and all is well. YAY!!!!

Looks to me that
1. You are hunched over into the anchor
2. Your draw arm is a bit high.
Try going back to a more traditional upright target form for a little while. You will be surprised to see how a standard target form will improve your traditiobal form. I think too many jump straight into the traditional form without a solid target form solidified.
