snakewood3 on this site but I must warn you, he ain't cheap. Brian
A matched set of copperhead skins are difficult to come by. Copperheads actually come in 5 colors and various pattern variations. A set of like color and pattern command premium prices. However in my opinion there is no finer looking backing for a bow as a matched pair of copperhead skins.
You get what you pay for with Copperheads...They are extremely hard to come by and to find a pair that the pattern AND color match is rare.....Snakewood3 (Charles) has some of the best and if you've done much looking, they aren't over-priced. He's a good guy to deal with. Good Luck, Don
Be warned that if you hunt where Brown Thrashers(bird) live, they hate copperheads. I had one drive me out of my stand, 2 nights in a row before I realized it was the copperhead he was after and not me...in full camo. Pat
PM Snakewood3. He is a pleasure to deal with and will treat you fairly. Copperheads are real hard to come by and he should probably charge more for them than he does. I get them all of the time but usually they are on the small side and not large enough to back a bow. Chuck has the big ones.
Been looking for a set myself.Everyone Ive seen on line is sold out. What you got SnakeWood? And while were on this topic, how hard is it to find these escaped pythons in Florida? From what I see on Animal Planet the state is crawling with them. That would be a great source for skins since they are becoming more and more rare in their native lands.
Contact Morrison Archery. He does some of the best skins I've seen. If you want to just buy them, he might hook you up with a supplier.
