I need some expertise assistance. i got my first recurve. 40lb Pearson. From what i can see, it is 60" amo (I measured from string groove to string groove). No name on bow, so i don't know what the brace height is. i have a dacron b50 56" string now. i shoot 2219 31" with 100 grain tip. The bow seems very loud. i shoot ok (4" groups at 12yds,,still learing the bow.)Brace height now is 8-1/4. Can some assist me in getting in the right direction. thanks all.

Everything seems okay except for the 2219's with 100 grain tips. That seems very stiff for your bow. What is your draw length? I think we need to know that before we can make any specific arrow recommendations.

i am drawing 28". I thought of going with 2117's. Do you think the heavier arrow would make my bow loud?

I think you're still overspined Dave. 2016 should be more in the ball park.

I believe you. i iwll try 2016. Also, I have a B50 16 strand endless loop string. can i twist it to play with brace height? Should i have a different string. i have been reading up on strings and think i have the wrong string.help....

You can twist or untwist the string you have to raise or lower the brace height, so long as you leave at least a few twists in it on the long side, and so long as it is not binding up on the short side.
I agree with the 2016 recommendation. I would try 125 grain points, and maybe 145 grain points as well, to see what shoots the best. The heavier the point weight, the quieter the bow, to a certain degree anyway.

thanks for the help all. I will let you know the outcome.
Does anyone know how i can find out what model Pearson i have? i have tried archeryarchives and found the logo to be from 1984-1986. i tried Pearson direct and they refered me to archeryarchives. i have serial number of 0112684235. i think it is an All American model. i was just curious to see what brace height is recomended.
