Title: Bill Stewart Bows
Post by: Boneyard Bowhunter on November 13, 2007, 05:36:00 PM
Back in the mid 80's I bought a Bill Stewart bow.
The bow isn't a good looking bow but man it shoots.
A 60" Recurve 53# @ 28", shoots a wood shaft 186 fps at my short 26 1/2" draw. I was wondering if any one took over for him after he passed away.

I think Cook's Mountain Archery makes the Multicam bow now.

Sadly no one took over for Bill with the Stewart name and shop.

I have a Stewart built by Bill and I agree, it is a shooter!  Both Ted and Rusty are correct(to my knowledge).  No one took over with the Stewart name and Shop, but....it's my understanding that Bill taught Roy Coursey of Cook's Mountan Bows an aweful lot about bow building.  I don't know if Roy has Bill's actual forms and such, but I know he built a Multicam TD for a Tradgang Member here and it was beautiful.  A definate upgrade in the looks departement!  If your interested, give Roy a call and ask him for the details.

Wildman had one made by Cook's Mountain and it has the multi cam limbs. I have an original Stewart, and agree they are great shooters.
