Title: always underspined
Post by: doeslayer on March 29, 2008, 11:50:00 AM
A friend of mine is shooting a BW sa11 55@30. He shoots a true 30 in draw. Every shaft we try to bare shaft is showing weak. The latest is an 32in 75 90 cx weight forward. What are we missing?

Describe "showing weak".

Are you sure the nocks are not too tight?  If they are it will make the arrow show weak.

Your going to need a 90/95 spine minimum if your cutting to 31" BOP.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I have a SA II 53@28 my draw shooting a 80-85# hickory shaft w/160gr tip cut to 30" BOP and when I bare shaft tune 10-20yrds the hit slight right and nock left when I go back to 30yrds the miss the target to the right by about 2feet. My broadhead arrow hits about 6"-8" right of my field point arrow back at 30yrds. So I would say if you are shooting 30"draw 31" arrow you are still weak.

2216 or 2219

I shoot a PSA V 53# @ 30". A 2216 works for me
