I use either a Bateman or a Cavalier with a cordavan face.  These give a smooth and consistent release, and they wear forever.

Anymore, I shoot a Saunders Nam Tab; it's plastic.  I first got it for bowfishing, but like it so much that I use it all the time.  I've been shooting the same tab for at least two years now and you can hardly tell it's been shot.  It wears forever, never creases and stays slick.  It is still being produced altho I think they changed the name.  I haven't needed to find another one, so I don't know who carries them.

I use a Blackwidow cordovan tab I feel like I get a better release than with a glove and I can wear it over a glove by adjusting the velcro holder and still shoot it well.

I have good results with a Bateman Cordovan tab or a Neet Calf Hair with molded finger spacer.  The calf hair tab tends to wear the hair off after lots of shooting, but it's comfortable with a smooth release.  The cordovan seems to last forever, but is a little harder on my fingers for some reason. I've tried a glove, but prefer the tab.

I prefer the tab for a couple of reasons.
1. Smooth release
2. Its quick and simple to use.
I have 2 or 3 tabs that I carry when shooting 3D tournaments as well as when I am out hunting.

i use the martin archery mit tab.it has a shoe leather string that you wind up around your wrist to fit exactly the length of your release hand.works super for me and gives a very good release.oh yeah!you can never drop it when you're in your deer stand.

I cut one out of a pice of leather from Tandy, works great, better than any glove or tab I have tried! Cost me 5.35 for a piece of leather that I'll get 5 tabs out of!

Another vote for the MIT-Tab. Gives positive feedback on your release if the strap is set right and feels perfect in my hands.

Started with a cordovan tab from the old screaming eagle store years ago and loved them. Bought a few of them before the store closed and should be good for the rest of my days. They last forever. Keep a little talcum powder in my pocket to help with the release, really makes it slick.

JP,I too bought a few of those from Brunner. They last forever. I have used one I know for 13 years and its still going, just a few nicks here and there. That cordovan leather really does wear like iron.

Just my 2 pennys. I prefer the Wilson BlackWidow. Very durable have four of them for rotating out during the rainy hunts here in Washington. The oldest one and the most used is 15 years old. Great feel smooth release

I use a Neet calf hair tab.  Its cheap, soft, and smooth.  I keep an extra in my pack.  I have always liked the feel of a tab more than a glove.

I have tried many, many tabs but I keep going back to my Alaska Bowhunting Supply Cordovan tab. I believe you can get two of them for 16 bucks. It probably seems crazy but an arrow shot with the ABS tab seems faster than using any other tab.
