Brent Rudolph made this Obsidian for me and the little longbow for my boy Jake(his birthday was in April and Brent out of the blue PMd me saying he was making it for him back in April). I'll get better pics up when I get a chance to shoot it. Jake is a bit under the weather this week so it may take a few days.
Thanks Brent!

Those look familiar :goldtooth: , See I did not take them! Glad you got them on your birthday, that is great! Have fun.
Rusty
Congrats to you and Jake on such fine bows.
Gil
Those are nice gifts.
The Obsidian is a gift to myself. I did some bartering with Brent for it. Jake's bow was 100% Brent's idea and all on him. He's one of the good ones.
WOW!!!!! dave you lucky man they are awesome bro. now go kill somthing with it. :biglaugh:
Ouuut-stannnnnnding!
Nice looking bows, especially the limb design of the black one. Looks fast! What are the specs?
Happy Birthday,
Bjorn
Awesome Dave!Good for you and the little guy. I should be getting my present to myself soon too. Man oh man I like the looks of your sons bow I wonder if Brent would make a bigger version of it.
You are welcome V'ster. Happy B'day to you and belated to Jake. Thanks for all you do for the trad community bro. I hope the bows bring you guys lots of luck.
By the way bentpole, I do make a big boy version of Jake's little bow. Jake's little bow, The Sparrowhawk, is 40". The Redtail Hawk is the big bro at 58"
Bjorn, they are pretty speedy. A 47" string bow that is 80%+ in the efficiency arena. Loves heavy hunting arrows. Smooth out to 30".
Awesome David, great looking bows, I bet Jake is as excited as you are......looks like another road trip may be in order at some point..... :bigsmyl:
David
Now those are down right sweet looking bows.<><
Thanks guys.
The Obsidian is 54@28 48" AMO
The Sparrow Hawk needs a 40" string which I now need to find I'll let you know the draw weight after that. lol
The longbow has a real sweet little grip. Jake has had it with him all day, has helped his cold not feel so bad.
You're so lucky to have friends like that in your life!
NICE BOW'S!
Happy Birthday!
I hope the young'n is feeling better!
very nice :0)
Those are nice...have fun shooting.
Beautiful bows. Hope Jake get's to feeling better.
Very, very nice bud.
Congrats!
No wonder you didn't answer the phone today, you were out shootin! :bigsmyl:
Actually I was home all day Kenny except for the last 45 minutes of daylight which made for a good birthday in the woods. Jake is a bit sick so no shooting it yet.
Man, thems some fine lookers for sure. I'd love to see pics of em strung up.
Have got to shoot it some finally. The bow is QUIET! Two have cat whiskers and all set. The bow ways almost nothing yet has no discernible hand-shock and it is quick! A keeper.
Is that little black stick coming to Ohio?
A black stick is, but not that one. No room for a 1pc in the wife's car.(Gas over $3, we take the Honda)
I'll give you the shipping cash. It'll get here in time. :bigsmyl:
I think you'll like the one I'm bringing. You can shoot this one at turkeys in the spring with me.
I'll live with that.

I'm going down tomorrow after church to scout out a spot for you where the big boy was last year. I've used my buck tag already so I'm leaving that spot for you.
