Title: Difference-Maker: TG DVD esp Terry's Alignment
Post by: User Name on October 15, 2007, 11:37:00 PM
Thanks to the TG DVD and Terry's alignment segment in particular.  Made an overnight 20% improvement in my shooting by listening to Terry's double anchor and alignment lessons.

Guys...that why I put that segment in the video.  Some people get so frustrated, and make shooting a bow much more complicated than it is.  Proper alignment eliminates so many negative variables, and clears the clutter so you can concern yourself only with aiming when you got your form grooved in.

It also allows you to shoot many different bows at normal shooting distances, although there will be a bow or two that fits you and your idiosyncresies better, and will make you even more accurate.

You've heard the old saying...beware of the man that shoots only one bow....but I'd like to add...beware of the man that can shoot any bow.

I hope folks will at least make a serious commitment to try and get the shoulders, power points, and arrow as close to a paralled plane as possible, as this will allow you to manufacture and create shots in the field as setting up on bone structure will allow that MUCH more than muscling the bow.

If it only helps one person, then it was worth it.....but I have heard that it has helped many, and that gives me great satisfaction as I love to hear about those arrows going where they are suppose to at will!

Terry,

Your alignment posts have helped me for sure! Shooting a bow really is simple and IMHO if you've got alignment, maintain back tension and are relaxed mentally and physically when shooting everything else takes care of itself with a little practice. It took me 20 years to figure this out and part of me wishes I would've listened to that guy I knew who could shoot any bow and part of me is happy I came to find it out the hard way!

Tilzbow if you think the posts are good you can get even more on the DVD.  There are a few things on there, watching Terry align,  that the posts can't explain.

It was when I put Terry's DVD alignment demo together with Jay Kidwell's target acquisition exercises that I got an absolute breakthrough!!  Hold that alignment just like Terry, moving about the waist only, while doing Jay's target acquisition.  Great combination!
