Title: quiet bow?

Any tricks to quiet bow down has mole skin on limbs where string meets limb ,puff balls on string near nock ,would like to maximize quiet shooting do limb savers work on limbs? 53lb recurve Lee model awsome smooth shooter though!

And make sure the nocks aren't too tight on the string.

Get some brush buttons, they helped quiet mine down along with keeping the briers and leaves out.  If it's a take down, you could take some closed cell foam or moleskin and put it under the limbs where the attach to the riser.

Agree with TexMex on the bow hush & puppies. Bought my son a 3 pc. recurve last year and could not believe how loud that bow was. Came with a 16 strand endless string(overkill for 20#@24"). Made a flemish string for it and put the bow hush & puppies on and it is quieter than I thought would be possible. If I return to my recurves it is definately what I will use.

Bow hush on string, but before you put hush puppies on put on a set of rubber whiskers.  This way you can slide them up and down the string to find the quietest position.  Then you can remove them and put your hush puppies at that postion.

Thanks for all the info Ralph does anybody use limb savers on limbs it seems like it would cut down on vib.

I know the limbsavers may not be traditional but in my opinion they work very well. I pu them on my bow just past the fadeouts. In other words just past where the fadeouts end.

If you have to use to much stuff to quiet your bow you might have some other problem. to light of arrows or wrong brace height are good places to start

puff balls 10" from nock 470 gr arrow got some 45-60s carbons think i'll load up the front and try and see if bow quiets down  it's really not that bad just want to optimize.brace height 7.5"
now.

Also check the brace height. Most bows work best with a 7 to 8" brace height. If the brace height is too low, it may lead to excess noise.

Don't be afraid to go higher than others and bowyer recomends on your braceheight.It won't hurt a thing and you might find the place that works just right.I sold a bow that I really liked because of noise.Looking back if I had raised the brace height an inch higher than most shoot the bow I probably would have kept it. jmo

Think i will try brace adj. its 7.5 now 470 gr arrow thanks guys.
