I don't have a wide angle lens on my camera.
Once the weather breaks I'll try to get a decent enough group to post. I've only been doing the trad thing a few weeks.
Some of you guys are amazing, that is so impressive.
-
Nice shooting guys keep them coming.
-
Best one tonight and worst one shot at 25 yards.

Looks like you guys would have no problem at taking deer at 30 yards great groups. I was going to post my best group but my mom deleted them to take pictures of the dogs........
-
Since I just learnt me a great lesson about spine on this site, could I bother some of you to give us your bow and arrow specs, too?
Great post.
-
This is one from earlier tonight and is the best that I can do at 12 yds. (Max. distance in my basement) With a couple of bare shafts in there for good measure.

Wondering how many guys here gap shoot and how many shoot instinctively?
-
don't know if this could be called a group but i hate shooting at the same spot over and over. besides, i've never had a deer to stand still very long.

2Blade, yes those are the AIMs targets. Most often I get them locally or from Cabelas. The one pictured is now pretty torn up, so I just ordered a new turkey one from Keystone Country Store on the net...
-
Slayer nice robinhood.
-
I shoot down the drive way. I can shoot out to about 60 yards. Its a pretty long drive way. Behind the fence is back yard then woods.

-
over&under, what are you shooting? that is a very nice looking bow,
Andrew
-
rybohunter why is your nock point so high? Looks like its at the top of serving could you explain?
-
Can't help but grin at the hand made & drawn targets that are showing up in these pics.
Very creative!
-
mxracer483 - Thanks! It is a 58" Thunder Mt. Lobo made by Jerry Barr. 52@28. Cocobolo and Bacote riser with birdseye maple in the limbs. I really like Jerry's bows, too bad he doesnt make them anymore. Fast quiet smooth pretty all you can ask for.
-
All I can offer is that I shoot 3 fingers under and when we tuned my bow at the shop that is were the nock ended up.
-
Here's a few I shot today. The arrows are cedar, fir, and ash. Spines vary from 65-75, lengths from 27"-28" and weight from 540g-720g. Shot from a 63# PSR that I just picked up. Haven't done any tuning other than setting brace and nock point.
Started at 25 yds
(http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w49/molson410/ArrowGroups002.jpg)
Moved up to 17 yds (one broken nock)
Dropped back to 34 yds
(http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w49/molson410/ArrowGroups004.jpg)
It was a little windy and wet
(http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w49/molson410/ArrowGroups005.jpg)
But any day is a good day to shoot!!
-
X2 are you useing a gap shooting style to shoot like that or is that instinctive shooting?
-

Don't think that way, gotta think positive. When I saw Ron LaClair shoot in different positions it was an inspiration to me. I committed to do the same. You can do it too if you really want it bad enough.

Yes it is human to shoot that good, I put my pants on the same way you do. Again, you can too if you want it bad enough.
I didn't measure the distances on those shots......25-30ish I recon.
Helping people shoot better is never annoying to me...Email me at [email protected]

Yes, video your shot from the angle your avatar is, overhead, and from the side facing your shooting side.
You can post the clips here if you are comfortable, and many will give you some suggestions. If you don't feel comfortable, you can email them to me and I'll see if I can help.
-
Terry, thanks for the videos, awesome shooting.
-
Hi All,
I got inspired by you guys and had a go with my Morning Mist (50# @28") today. After some attempts (4x) I got my arrows where I wanted them. The distance is dsome 15 yards, which is my backyard length to shoot safe.

Great groups! Some of you have it right. Show me a group with one arrow each from 16, 21,26, 18, 23 and I'll show you someone ready to hunt. Also the first arrow of the day.Better yet one arrow from each distance with only one shot each day for five days. If you are practicing for hunting practice to hunt. If you are shooting for form or targets that's different. Don't get hung up on tight groups if you can't shoot the first arrow where you want it every time.

This was the first two arrows shot out of a ADM bow. Not bad considering they were borrowed arros and had vanes on them. The ADM bow shot very good. Thanks to Adam Mooney (Skinezz) for letting me shot it.

I was pretty excited about this group, I switched up my shooting style some today and this really seemed to work out.
I started shooting a set arm, with my bow vertical, rather than raising my bow as I draw and having it canted.
Oh yea, add that this was at about 16/17 yds. Yea its a little left but, one thing at a time here. :D
-
Good shooting RYbowhunter hey whatever works stick with it your shooting better then me!

Howdy guys,
here's some pics I took tonight while shooting in my garage. It's only 18 feet but, it's still fun.
I only had one arrow fletched. This is a six shot set with two I didn't post (they were WAY off due to bad form) The white dot is the size of a dime.
