I have recently been trading pM's with Joe Skipp about an order I am placing for a 56 inch 56# @ 28 Kwyk Styk recurve. I am stuck however on a couple of things....do I go with the static limb tips or the regular limbs. I need some help as I am not familiar with a bow that has static limbs tips.
1) What do static limb tips do differently then normal limb tips?
2) Are they quieter?
3)What does the draw feel like with static limbs? Is it a stiffer or smoother feeling draw?
4)I have a 28.5 inch draw am I pushing the envelop going with the 56 inch model?
Thanks everyone !!

I own a Kwyk Styk with static tips Jack says they are the best and he has been making them for years they are fast with no shock shoot as good as any custom bow out there but you will have to wait as Jack takes his time and builds a very good bow mine is a 58" but a 56" should be ok as well goood luck and know with any of Jack Kemphs bows you have the best there is bar none
Couldn't have said it any better than Gordon.."the best there is bar none  "
There's no bigger fan of the KS than me....I just love the two I own. As you know both of mine are reg limbs...never shot the statics.I've been shooting "Timex" for 11 seasons now. And have had "Cy" since spring...It has already accounted for 2 turkeys this past spring and a win in the recurve div. at the Muzzy shoot. Just took it out today deer hunting for the first time.I already like the lighter draw weight in the cold. I hope to break "Cy" in shortly....
You'll be fine with a 56" (that's what mine are) at 28.5"...that's my draw. I'd bet there isn't a smoother 56"er out there.....
TG'er "Sergio Venerri" knows more about these bows than anyone I know...I'm sure he'll be along at some point. There's also "Gun" here at TG that shoots one....
SWEET,,,,thanks guys. Time to get on the list....
Curt thanks for the PM I appreciate it..
