Title: Quinn Bows...
Post by: OkKeith on February 20, 2018, 10:08:00 PM
Does anyone know if Quinn Archery ever re-launched? I have a Stallion and love the bow but am looking for another set of limbs for my riser.

I did a Trad Gang search as well as a Google search and didn't come up with any up-to-date information.

Just thought someone might have an idea.

Thanks,
OkKeith

They are no longer being made.  I had a stallion riser converted to ILF so I'd have more limb options.

Thanks Ron...

I see ILF in lots of posts but don't really have any idea what it is. What is involved with the conversion?

Converting to ILF gives a shooter a wide variety of limbs to choose from.  The conversion involves having the riser machined to accept the ILF limb mounting system.  I have heard the stallion riser isn't the best for the conversion, but mine works fine.  I use lighter draw weight limbs, though.  Oh, ILF is an acronym for International Limb Fitting (or fixture), I think.  I hope this helps...   :archer2:

Yes Sir, it certainly does...

I may just look around for someone with some limbs they might want to let go of. I don't NEED any new limbs. The ones I have shoot great. I was just looking to get either some heavier limbs or lighter limbs (the ones I have are 48#... I think). More just to have than anything. New limbs are kinda like getting a new bow but maybe less expensive.

I have several bows but really enjoy shooting the Quinn. It just seems to be a bow that is "easy" to shoot well with.

Thanks again for your time and the information.

You're welcome, Keith.  Quinn limbs are getting scarce, but keep looking.  They pop up occasionaly.
