Title: Fletching with stripped turkey feathers
Post by: MarineR6er on November 09, 2007, 04:00:00 AM
I guess this can be answered by yall using Ferrets stripped turkey feather fletching.

Must you grind the feather to use a fletching jig or can you use Ferrets stripped feather in a jig?

I use my bitz jig after stripping.  There's nothing left to grind after stripping the feather, at least the way I do it.  I learned from Mickey at Mojam a few years ago.

I use my Jo Jan multi fletcher with the stripped feathers and have used both glue and fletch tape although the last few years i have just been using the fletch tape (cleaner and faster). I sinew wrap the leading edge when done.
