SRF sight,,,Flipper2 AAE tab1816 29" easton camo hunter ---- 1970's Kodiak hunter 45# (27.5pull) 0 centershot.
175 grain field point and still hitting 2-3 inches left------- Bare shaft and feathers together just left. Would 1716's be worth a try or am I getting way to weak????? Oh yea,,8.5 to 9 inch brace tried
-
Try 125gr field point.
-
Just to be sure-- we are calling you lefty because youre hitting left not because youre shooting left handed, right?-- i mean correct? I normally advocate weaker arrows than many shoot, but i would think the 1816s would be about right for your set up. 1716s are much weaker.
As Bud said try decreasing point weight. Since youre using a sight , just move it to the left, should bring your shots over to the right.
-
right handed shooter---cant move sight that far ---short threaded screw
-
If your arrows are flying straight then bring your brace height up a few turns and see if it don't bring your arrows too center.
-
arrows flying great---at 9 inch brace now
-
Have you measured the bow weight? I have an early 70's Black Bear 45# that recently measured 47.6 at 28" and 42.5 at my 26" draw. It shoots 2016 28.5" with 145 tip just fine. Looks to be close to centershot also which could take a heavier spine.
-
Adding the flipper has moved your centershot to at least 1/8 outside of center. That is probably what's causing the left impact.

Ok. Thought you were a lefty.
You either need more point weight, are torquing the bow to the left upon release, or are plucking the string.
If you can, have someone watch you shoot.

I had the exact same problem when i started out. I came to realize that i was left eye dominant and trying to shoot right handed. I would have had to have the sight sticking out 5 or 6 inches to the left of the bow. Once i switched to shooting left handed, things got much better. What is your dominant eye?
-
right eye dominant---I believe I have to finf a way to stabilize the left shoulder at time of release--
-
Are you 100% on your eye dominance? I'm left eye dominant but right handed. I shot left 2-3 inches for the longest time. Then I switched to shooting left handed after the Army. Now I shoot where I'm looking. Just a suggestion.

I shoot 1918's cut 29" with 145gr field points from my 40# and 45# pound bows. 145gr might make your 1816's too weak. Maybe 125gr like Bud suggests would stiffen them a bit.
