I have a PL2 and a PMA. Have not shot Traditional for long just wondering what arrows could be recommended to start with.
Shooting 40#s and 27" Draw for both.
Thanks as always

Carbon, aluminum, or wood? I would suggest a .600 spine carbon but not sure what you're looking for

Nick yes been shooting that spined 600 arrow in carbon Gold tips.
Seems to fly straight
Also my draw is 27" how long for the arrow
Thanks Nick

Best thing to do is do some bareshaft testing with a full length arrow and cut in very small increments (1/4-1/2") until you get them flying like darts then you're good to go.

Many folks start with full length shafts and shorten in increments, as buckeye suggests. That can sometimes lead to an arrow 2-4 inches or more longer than one's draw length. The extra length doesn't bother some folks, but I don't want any more arrow length than is absolutely necessary.
I start with a spine that's close to what I think is correct and cut them an inch longer than my draw length (so the shaft extends one inch beyond the riser at full draw, plus point) and tune with point weight changes. I agree that .600s should work for you regardless of how you tune them..

28" 1816s would work as well, with a moderate head weight.
