I have a Lofton Choctaw Halfbreed longbow made by Bobby. Bobby passed away many years ago. My bow has the structure of a recurve in the riser with longbow limbs. Bobby made a true custom bow to the specifications of the customer. My bow is 62" with a draw of 26" at 35#. Because of my short draw length I shoot a low brace height of 6". I currently shoot a aluminum arrow 26 3/8". The arrow is a XX75 Easton Camo Hunter 2114 with a 125 grain vroadhead and 3 3" feathers. It shoots great and I have killed hogs with it. Enjoy your new Lofton bow. I'm sorry that I cannot tell you anything about the Choctaw II.

Bobby built a damn fine bow. I had a 62" 65# Choctaw Chief R/D that was smooth and fast, it had green stained bamboo limbs and horn tips, nicely built as any fine custom. I should have never let it go since it was the first longbow I shot really well. It's in Idaho somewhere now.

Got out and shot it a few times today and I really like it.I was afraid 65 might be to much but had no problems draws nice and smooth. Here are a couple pics from the seller.

I remember Bobby well. We had a shoot named after him in Mississippi that turned out to be one of the biggest shoots in the South. I've seen Bobby come to shoots with a truck full of bows and give half of them away before the shoot was over. He loved to get newcomers into archery. A really good guy that is still missed down here.
