Anyone have a Bear "A" riser with #3 limbs? Supposed to be a 60" bow but a 56.5" string braces it at 10". Looking for an actual length that someone has physically measured.
Thanks in advance.

Posted this response on the other site, but for those who might be facing the same problem, here it is again.
I have a half-dozen sets of Bear TD limbs, from old red tips and white tips to new red and black tips, and no two are the same length. There's as much as 3/8-inch difference in individual limb length from my shortest set of limbs to my longest set of limbs. That translates into 3/4-inch difference in bow length. In short, there is no truly standard string length. Need to find what works and buy or make subsequent strings that length.

I have one that is 56"string brace 8 1/4
waiting to see if it will stay at that length have not strung this bow in a while.

My experiences building strings for them mirrors what Orion said. Some need a 4" shorter string, others 3".

Looks like this one needs a string 2.5" shorter than its AMO to get in the middle of the suggested brace hgt range. Orion and Allen's post suggest why.
Thanks guys!
