Title: Single bevel... left or right?
Post by: jonwilson on September 20, 2017, 09:45:00 AM
I am shooting Easton Axis 500 Trads. My feathers are straight, so does left or right bevel matter? From what I am finding, it doesn't really matter.

What are your thought?

Doesn't matter unless you have offset or helical in your fletching

Yes it still matters regardless of whether or not you have a helical pitch on your feathers.

Right wing feathers should be matched with right wing bevels and left wing feathers should be matched with left wing bevels.

Even though your feathers are glued on straight, the way the feathers were cut will still impart some spin on the shaft.

Google search left wing/right wing feathers and right bevel/left bevel broadheads to see pictures in order to determine which ones you have.

Darryl R. nailed it. Left wing feathers- left bevel broadhead and vice versa.

Thanks guys! Makes perfect sense now.

My arrows are like the image on the right (catch lip on the left), so that means my feathers are right wing, therefore I need right bevel if I go with 2 blade single bevel, correct?

Correct.
