I haven't posted anything in a while I guess I got a little bent out of shape a while back. And I have missed visiting with y'all so I have shot a few critters and will post some pics soon as I figure out. But on a post I was commenting on a while back someone basically told me that I and several others here were just braggers cause we post to many pictures and I guess it just set wrong with me. I guess I'm going to be bragging again now and as I always say (it is what it is). Now if I have ever come across that way then I am truly sorry cause that has never been my intent at all. I just love to hunt with my bows and enjoy the outdoors and also enjoy sharing my passion for hunting. I also enjoy my friendships with many on this site , many messages and phone calls and emails about bows , hunting , gear , well the list never ends and want to get back at it. So for any that think I'm just bragging then so be it....
Now on to the bragging I set up a bow last week to experiment with shooting plastic vanes and oh it worked very well. The bow is a warfed Proline riser with Hoyt limbs with a flipper rest. I made up a bunch of arrows and it ended up shooting a .400 spine carbon fletched with the little Blazer vanes ( hard of a left helical as I could get ) with 250gr tip like lasers. And it just might be the quietest bow I have ever owned but would it shoot a broadhead. And to my surprise it shot every head I had and even TreeSharks were no match for the rig. So with the new bow throwing TreeSharks like it was nothing we needed a test for it. Went to the ranch ( all low fence free range ) to get ready for our whitetail opener in 2 weeks and got all the work done and did a little hunting. And I am very impressed with the modern trad bow shooting it's little carbon missiles. I was lucky enough to get my first Sika deer ( a doe ) and a day later shot a very nice Aoudad ram. So once I figure out the new posting a picture thing I will be back at the bragging....

Sam,
i'm offended. The only way to fix this problem is to take me with you! haha! Goodness bud! You are a freaking killing machine!
Congrats!
-
Outstanding
-
 Keep at it Sam...Love your pics and hunting stories.
-
I told you to come on and hunt and never heard back from you brother. And just think how much better this bow is going to be once I get one of your strings on it. I must have caught that fellow on a bad day or something. I have always been ( I think ) one of the most open guy's to help anyone out with anything I could. I always invite others on hunts and put them I the best spots and am free to give information on locations. And have always said my success is due to good hunting grounds or pure ( never quit never surrender ) attitude. So anyway Daniel I need a string for this rig to put it in the super star category. 64in bow , low 50 lbs at 30in , need to be that bright green and black....
All kidding aside I'm just happy to be in the woods and if I get a critter or not I'm happy...
,,,Sam,,,
-
Heck yea man, congrats!
-
Congrats!! That's a heck of an Aoudad!!
-
Congrats!
Bisch
-
Very nice!
I have always found tree sharks to be the very easiest broadhead to get good flight from. They actually have far less surface area for planing than most other heads.
Are you seeing a noticeable difference in trajectory?
-
Welcome back Sam. I was wondering where you'd been. Congrats
-
Well done Sam, dont pay no mind to the keyboard super heros, some people would bitch if hung with a new rope types. I personally have shared a camp with Sam and he is relentless in his pursuit of critters and his succsesses reflects his comittment and dedication and he is very polite and patient with others and always ready to help in anyway he can. He is forthcoming and honest and if integrety and drive and a true love of things wild is bragging then keep on keepin on bud, the haters can piss off.
-
You will have them kind coming out of the Woodward everywhere you go when your successful,Keep on Keeping on
-
Wondered where ya been Sam....always enjoyed your posts
Keep posting and thanks for sharing the pics
-
Agree with the above folks, can't pay mind to the ones who are jealous. Enjoy your success and keep sharing with the rest of us. As always- outstanding critters-have a good season.
-
Hey - how is the YouTube Chanel coming along?
Tim B
-
Nice ram Sam! I still need to make it down there sometime to hunt with you. Keep bragging....
-
Congrats on the Aoudad!
Guess the guys that complain about the pictures you post are the ones that never kill anything and can't be happy for someone that does.
-
Well done. I can't understand why anybody would think that you're bragging by sharing pics of your kills. I enjoy seeing them, especially since we don't have the variety of animals to hunt up here that you do. Keep at it.
-
Sam
Congrats,No Brag Just Fact
Terry
-
Congrats.

Those are some awesome animals and with a very unique rig! I also enjoy seeing all your pics and reading the stories that go with them. That is one of the main reasons I started looking at this site a few years ago was reading the stories and learning from them as much as I could. That's a big part of why we do what we do, not just our success but being a part of the success of others and helping them in their journey. Keep doing what you're doing Sam I enjoy it!
-
Yeah!
Sam, you are doing good with the pics...better than many! Some guys will not even try nowadaze.
:campfire:
-
I missed these posts!!!!! Great animals Sam and glad to see you got the vanes dialed in quick!
Don't sweat the few goobers that pop up here from time to time. The "Trad Elites" tend to look down at whatever someone else does...
Glad your back Man!!!!
-
Fantastic stuff Brother and you better not deprive the ones that want to see your success. True friends are happy for you no matter how many more you kill than we do. What you post makes this site interesting to us. In the off season with no harvest threads it gets very boring reading the which broadhead is the best threads.

Gregg nailed it!!
Haters are gonna hate!! You just keep killin stuff and let them keep wallowing in their lack of self worth!!
-
Sam,really enjoy the pictures, Thank You for sharing.
-
I personally love seeing all your critters and adventures. If I had a product that needed field testing as it related to the act of harvesting an animal, there is no doubt who I'd be calling to field test it and put it through it's paces.
Keep doing what you're doing. The vast majority of us thoroughly enjoy your posts.
-
Appreciate the homework report - well done!

Nice kills. I love seeing a lot of pictures.
It seems there are quite a few people that talk a lot,and never post pictures. Makes you wonder how much truth there is to their post.
-
Awesome, great pics. Thanks for sharing!
-
Great job Sam!
-
Well done Sam  Keep on sharing :campfire:
-
Pic away...pics are one of the main parts of this site.
Nice shooting Sam.
-
So, what is wrong with bragging about kills like that? Sharing your success with others is what this site is all about.
Congratulations, and keep them coming.
-
Great Stuff Sam !!
-
So glad to have you back Sam. Been missing your posts

I would like a link to the thread to see your accusers.....
You can email me if you wish....
Also...there is a 'report post' icon below your typed message...just click that if you are getting spammed.
Thanks...and not only CONGRATS...but post ALL THE PICS YOU WANT!
-
Thanks guys , I don't consider myself thin skinned but it really bothered me at the time. The more I thought about it the more it bothered me until it hit me that I don't give a dam what someone thinks about me. I'm going to do what I do and enjoy every moment of it and I'm going to post about my adventures and hope it helps get someone involved in bowhunting. I don't get paid to do it I do it cause I love everything about hunting from the planning to the end. I am always willing to help people plan a trip help with gear or any part of the process I'm a message , call , or email away. Thanks again .....

Thanks Terry but I'm am good , I'm over it and from the looks of it this thread is speaking for the greater good. I had a few emails with this person and will just wright him off as an internet hero. I know for a fact this person has read this thread and is probably not happy so that's good enough for me. Now if the wish to post something nothing is stopping them. A post above hit the nail on the head ( I hear a lot of talk and never nothing to back it up ) , again I just got my poor little feelings hurt but I'm good now.
Ok Terry I know you have better things to be doing , Go kill that bear!!!!!!!!
,,,,Sam,,,,
-
Congrats, Sam. I really enjoyed your pics... keep posting.
aoudad is on my bucket list, one day.

-
Keep up that bragging Sam! I'm glad you made the point and even with a dig! The dig was necessary! I personally get so much enjoyment from seeing other people share their successes and stories! Keep them coming and congrats!
-
I hear you Sam but I sure would like to know who the other person was so we can put them on the anti Hunter watch list....
because most times these people are fakes...we daily het people like this all the time and we're constantly trying to weed out...
these people who are against hunting ....y'all don't know what all goes on behind-the-scenes but if you can shed some light on that to me privately in the email I sure would appreciate it
-
Nice animals Sam! And keep braggin brother...I love seeing your kills!
-
Sam,
I have never known you to brag. Keep on posting those pictures and congratulations. Some people just do not have a clue and have probably never killed a thing and are jealous, do not listen to them.
-
Keep bragging Brother, it gives the rest of us that don't kill many animals some motivation.
Nice animals, congrats.
-
I love seeing pictures of all kinds..... I can't get out and hunt as much as I'd like to, but seeing others pictures gets me as excited about the hunt almost as if I was hunting! I post pictures of my kills and I think we all should share our victories and defeats in the woods.
Good luck, shoot straight and God bless,
Rodd

Brag away ... I enjoy all your posts

Stay with it Sam , after all this is a TRAD BOWHUNTING site.
It ain't a flower smelling site, but that's ok too if you're huntin and run across one.
Rock on brother and keep showing us your fantastic results!!
-
I love seeing the posts about your hunts! Keep it up!

I enjoy the pictures and stories that go with them.
Thanks for coming back with both!

Awesome! You're not bragging, you're sharing with like minded TRAD HUNTERS. Ignore the negative.
Thanks for the post. This is why I come here.
Joe
-
I haven't arrowed a daggum thing, but it sure is nice to see what others have!
Please do keep up the picture posting! What do "they" say...? hater's gonna hate or some such..
-
You know Sam, the more I thought about it the more I realize, there is a line between Bragging and showing respect for an animal you have killed. You share your hunts and the you exude the essence of Trad Bowhunting through respect and support. Frm what I have gathered through your posts, you conduct yourself with professionalism, Ethics and are always willing to help someone out or slap them on the back in congrats or support.
Keep sharing your hunts.... That other person you mentioned has no idea where that line is or on what side they stand on. I personally feel sorry for lost souls.
-
well done , thanks for sharing
-
I for one look forward to the hunting stories with pictures shared by many on this site. I view it as you presenting me with an opportunity to share your camp fire, as well as the excitement of your hunt. Many of us are not blessed with the hunting abilities or property with abundant game you and others obviously have. Thank you Sam for giving me an opportunity to tag along. :campfire:
-
Keep bragging, I like the way you brag
Congrats on the critters!!!
-
TradGang wouldn't exist without huntin stories and pics, I don't visit here several times a day to figure out what color fletchings to put on my arrows!!!
I'm here to hear a story that involves a bloodtrail and if you don't post pics. :readit:
Well done on a fine story and some beautiful pics :campfire:
-
Congrats, man! I for one love reading about your adventures! It's like my preacher told me one time, "People are crazier than anybody!"
-
Sam, a buddy and I were just talking that we hadn't seen you post anything for a while. I'm glad you are back! You kill some great critters!
-
Congratulations Sam!
-
Brag away Man!
check out my avatar
-
Congratulations! :clapper:
Snowflakes :dunno: I'll never understand them.
Its not bragging if you can do it, around here we call it sharing.
-
Tim , the YouTube this is still a work in progress and will be getting up new vids soon...
DWT , all the same can be said of yourself , you are a hunting machine sir , tell your dad hi for me..
ThePush- would love to meet you guys and talk bows and shooting sometime , just getting into the ILF thing...
Haven't noticed a trajectory difference yet with the plastic vanes cause it's all I have shot so far. Will do some research shooting and see.
Thanks everyone that has posted , should get back into my usual mode soon..
Good luck to everyone headed out into the woods this season..
,,,,Sam,,,
-
Good stuff Sam. I recall my early bowhunting years when The Bear compounds and recurves had Weather rests, and vanes were all we shot. I'm curious how good Audad meat is. Congrats
-
We love the meat , this is the 5th Aoudad and I have eaten everyone. My family pretty much live on wild game meat so I might not be the best judge by some standards. My father-in-law cooked up a hind quarter slowly over wood coals then shredded it all up for BBQ sandwiches and fed a large group at a party. We never heard any complaints from anyone. You always hear that the meat is no good but I guess those folks just have a more sensitive taster than me and the people I run with. And in all fairness I have been labelled (pretty Country)
,,,Sam,,,
-
Great animals Sam!I wandered were you been.Have not seen you posting your hunts.Hope all is good now!I enjoy seeing you have good successful hunts. Some people may not know your line of work affords you lots of hunting time. When you have a good hunter with time to hunt and a target rich environment, well the pics speak for themselves.Keep'em coming Sam!
I have only taken one Aoudad and we treated it the same as we do all the other critters my wife and I drag home. Although it tasted different than deer,it was great.Wish I could get on another.
-
Good to see you again Sam. Congrats on your two fine critters there. Keep posting away. I certainly enjoy your hunts, pictures and stories. Thanks for sharing.
Tony

Love the pic of that Aoudad, are they in Texas or New Mexico that you hunt them?
-
Corey , don't throw that out unless you want me on your door step. Would love to hunt with you sometimes and you are welcome in my camps also...
Rainman , I hunt them on a friend's ranch here in Texas ( all free range no high fenced stuff ). They have to be one of the sharpest critters I have ever hunted...
,,,Sam,,,
-
Good Job Sam. I personally love all the photos from you and other tradgangers.
-
Sam - "no brag just fact" - jealousy rears its ugly head when others see your great hunting abilities - glad you are back....
-
Awesome animal. You are not bragging, it's show and tell.
-
Keep posting them, Sam. Most of us enjoy your pics and it's not bragging if it's facts. BTW, congrats!
-
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Don't stop posting....this guy, as happens WAY TOO OFTEN, post all his 'so called' knowledge, but he never kills ****te. Just another keyboard warrior that never set foot on the field of battle.
