Which one would you get and is there a big difference in the two?
What do you want to use the bow for? what is your draw length?
Big difference between the two at those lengths. My wife had a 58" whip-super bow, but the 58 is at the short end of the whip's, and gets finicky drawing more than 27" or so.
The 56 pika on the other hand is designed as a shorter bow. Haven't shot one yet, but reliable folks here (Biathlon man in particular) have said a 56 pika shoots like a 64" whip, and handles a 29" draw easily.
Yeah what he said. ^^^^
I draw 29" and have a 56" Pika 60# love the bow.
I draw 30.5" and it's a little much for the Pika. I still have one, but prefer my 64" Whip these days.
I'd be drawing 27" and hunting with it. I thought they were basically the same.
I'd go 62 at least, maybe 64 for a whip at that draw. My wife's 62 HS is pretty sweet for me at 27, 64 I imagine would be really smooth.
If you want a shorter bow, the Pika would be the way to go.
I am 27" draw and much preferred and shot the 58" whip better. I now own only the 58" whip.
I just order a Whip HS in a 62" length based on that is what Dan recommended for my 29" draw.
For those who own a Whip and draw 29" what length are you shooting?
Don't mean to hijack, but seems this where this is headed.
s ms bowhunter, Have a 29" draw like you and suggest you go with the 64". Have both and 64" is much smoother. Have had 13 Toelk's of different configurations and have settled on the 64". That's just me however.
Will talk with Dan again then as he did recommend the 62"
I have a 60in whip 45 @ 27 smooth as silk very nice shootin and I also have a 56 in pika 43@ 27 and the same smooth I like the pika just a tiny bit more but you cannt go wrong with any one of dans bows
