I hadn't picked up a bow in forever. Then I started seeing the MCAAP southern plains shoot flyers pop up on Facebook. Figured I'd better kick it into gear! So i went and shot a few mediocre rounds at MCAAP to get the rust off.
Now I'm reinvigorated and in full hunting season prep mode! :knothead:

Anyway. I'm excited to get back in it.
Last year i managed to get a doe at MCAAP last fall and will be back Halloween weekend.

I had a great encounter with a monster on public land that just wasn't meant to be.

And most excitingly, I think my little bro is actually starting to show some interest in bow hunting. So I should have hunting buddy this fall.
That thing is a pig ! Bow looks good as well
Here I am bad mouthing "non-wood" bows in another thread but I kinda dig that one!
Neat antelope mount. be interested in the story with that.
Not a story to share here due to various rules.
I'll just say that it was my mom's, it included lots of fog. And it was Solo. She did good and we ate well.
Anyway....
I got some cutthroat heads coming and some other trinkets. And there's several shoots around this weekend. So I may be driving to Oklahoma for 1 of 2 shoots, or staying around DFW for a shoot.
