Has any of my fellow tradgang members tried these new arrows. If so, which model... Impact or Instinct ? Please give me your thoughts. Thanks

Just bought a set a of the Instincts a couple weeks ago.
So far I really like them. My only complaint would be the nocks , they seem to break easily and are a looser fit on the serving.
However Easton G nocks fit these perfect so I am replacing them with the G nock.
Bought the 400 spine, shooting them out of a 49 @28 Stalker Coyote. My draw is 27.5.
Set these up to shoot 125 grains, so that put me at 225 with there steel outsert. I like this setup as I can use easily available 125 grain judos or blunts.
I can also shoot 145 points on these and they bare shaft just as well as the 125. So that lets me shoot a little heavier broadheads.
The shaft length I ended up at to get perfect bare shaft flight was 29 inches even. Of course the outsert adds another 5/8 or so to that length.
With the 125 grains it gives me 20% foc and total arrow weight is 517 grains.
Been shooting trees, stumps and rocks when I miss, with steel blunts on these and so far have only broken the nocks.

I have nothing but great things to say about Black Eagle. I have been loving mine all summer! Im just shooting the regular diameter Outlaws but the have been awesome. Cant wait to see how well they do on four legged critters soon.

I have a set of x-impacts set up for one bow, .350 spine, they seem to shoot very well. Have not had a chance to put them thru a critter yet.

Been shooting X-Impacts since last winter and really like them. .350 spine with the outsert and 300 gr. up front in a 56# R/D. Can't wait to see them in action on an elk.

Vintage 350's for me. 250 gr head, 50 gr brass insert cut 32 1/2 BOP fly like darts out of my Two Tracks Echo 62 @ 30". I have some 400's if someone wants them. I'm posting them In the classifieds.

Me too! Black Eagle Rampage .300 spine since January. I think they are the best arrows I have ever used. The Rampage is a .204 inside diameter so I use 50 gr Easton brass HIT inserts in them with 300 grain points. It's a light weight shaft so you can get good EFOC without an overweight finished arrow. Mine finish at 647 grains. I am starting to think there is a difference in construction or materials in Black Eagle arrow shafts vs the big name brands. IMO they fly better from traditional bows. I wish they would make the Rampage in wood grain pattern.
I have wanted to try the wood grain instincts or vintage but they don't make .300 spine. I could probably get the .340s tuned but have been bought into to EFOC.
I also have the Renegades but found them just a few grains too heavy though pretty much unbreakable. The Rampage is tougher than I thought for a light arrow. I was footing them but I don't think they need it. There are a lot of trees around my bales for challenging shot. The arrows I used last year broke with just the slightest touch to the side wall. The Black Eagles survive.
These arrows out penetrate every brand arrow in my stock. I don't know how much the EFOC has to do with it.

BE 350 Vintages here also out my Robertson Stykbow Peregrine #65@29". 31" with their 42gr brass inserts and an added 30gr screw in weight. 200gr RMS Cutthroats finish them off.

personal opinion, but it all boils down to what arrow weight you want. I really like the look of the instincts, but can't get past the 90 grain SS insert/outsert. On the other hand, the 42 grain outsert of the deep impact is great. With the instincts, I couldn't get my total arrow weight down before 600 grains, which is more than I like. With the deep impact, I vould get it around 520.

I have been looking at the rampage shafts also to replace my axis fmj shafts as it is close to time to buy another dozen. I like that I can use easton x size components and the lightweight shaft would allow me to go to a 250 grain broadhead while staying just over 500 grains in total arrow weight. That would seem an ideal hunting weight with lots of FOC for my 47 lb bow.
Question - are these lightweight shafts as durable as the axis? The axis fmj shafts I now shoot put me at about 575 grns with a 200 grn head.
