Well its not what you think when you read the subject. I was shooting yesterday and made a dumb mistake. I was pulling out the arrow with my left hand, and holding my right on the target, and you guessed it, I wasnt paying attention and just like that my hand was pouring out blood. made a trip to the ER and had to get stiched shut. This morning I woke up and it was swollen twice its normal size! i just had to try to go out and shoot, so I went out and was happy that I still could, and that it didnt ruin my hunting. I wanted to get my first real traditional bow christned, but this wasnt what I had in mind!! Happy hunting to all of you!
LOL in a sympathetic kind of way. Better luck christening your new bow the right way. ;)
:knothead:
Been there done that, but only a nick from the back of a grizzly. Glad you're still able to hunt and get the right type of blood on your bh. lol
Sorry to read, but glad it wasn't any worse. I'll ask anyway, what part of the hand did you cut?
About 1 inch down from where your index finger meets your hand.
It was 6 stiches, not alot but it was enough to learn a VALUABLE lesson!
And hopefully for US to learn from your mistake. Thanks for sharing.....and.....be careful !

I wanted to ask as well. :D
I did the same thing years ago with one of those two inch thick foam targets. Walked up put my hand against target and pulled the broadhead right thru my thumb, forefinger and palm of my hand. 32 stitches and I still hujnted the next day. Good luck!! Shawn
I didnt get any pictures, because I dont know how to post them, and we dont own a digital camera. We will buy one soon, because I would like to post some pics with some stories as well.
how about pics showing the blood trail from the target to the car? :bigsmyl:
(Only kidding you because you can still shoot.)
Did you leave a decent blood trail, at least?
