Title: Help identify Howatt / Martin bow
Post by: Benoli on November 02, 2007, 07:50:00 PM
I've had this bow for a few years and just dusted it off so I could loan it to a friend. Does anyone know what model this is? I'm quite certain that the missing sticker indicated it was a Howatt but it could have been Martin. Also if you know what it is, maybe you can help me with what the Brace Height should be.

I am pretty sure Killdeer is correct loks like a Hi speed by Howatt , hard to tell by the pics if it was early enough to be before Martin purchased Howatt but no difference , still made by the same guys.
Try between 7 3/4" to 8" from the crotch of handle to the string. Love those older Hi speeds

Yup, that's a Hi-Speed. They were made in 54" and 58". Mine is a few years newer, 54". One of the best short recurves ever made. Howattman over on *********** could tell you when it was made.
