Shorter lower limb in a deflex/reflex Longbow?
I think I remember the general rule of thumb being make the lower limb one inch shorter.
Is this done on Lam bows?
How is it done, would you start with the limbs the same length, lam/bend them in a form and then remove an inch from the bottom limb. Or would you make the form for the lower limb one inch shorter and the limb material one inch shorter?
If the lower limb is cut one inch shorter with the bow unbraced, will it not sit father behind the upper?
Any help in clearing this up???
I'm bumping this back up because it is driving me crazy!
I do not have access to a bow I can measure. I have printed out a few pics, and did some scale measurements. The lower limb appears to be shorter.
I trying to come up with a design to start building a form. I'm going to give the lam bow a try.
Anyone???
