Title: Jack Kempf Raven owners
Post by: elkken on May 15, 2017, 09:12:00 PM
I recently acquired one of Jack's Raven LB's and it has a groove in the  arrow rest near the riser, perhaps for vane clearance. I had an Acadian Woods bow and it had a similar groove and it was made that way. Anyone know it the Raven comes that way or is this an after bowyer addition ??

Many thanks, Ken

I have one of Jack's Raven in a recurve and yes it has a groove in it. My KWYK STYK has it as well.

Thanks Randy ... no big deal, I will just set it up to shoot something other than my Axis shafts, those skinny shafts tend to slip into the groove ... I can shoot woodies too, or just build out the side plate a bit .

I just put some velcro on the shelf and side plate and as soon as it stops raining in Washington, maybe by June, I can finish the set up

Grip fits really nice so I am anxious to give her a try.

Ken,  if it shoots anything like my Raven you will love it. Jack knows how to make a great hunting bow give me a shout if you don't like it.   :)    :archer2:

Will do Randy, it's right at the upper limit on weight for my old bones so I'll see how it goes.
