Hello. Name's Dave and am recently new to this forum and first time posting. Live in Washington state. Retired Navy, that should get some grumbles, lol. Anyway, I've been perusing the forum of late, and am confused by a thread that named a BP H90 as having a model nmber 7388. I just picked up an old Pearson Gamester with the model number ALSO 7388. My question is, which came first, the BP H90 or the Gamester? Whew...That being said, can anyone enlighten me? I understand Mr. Stout, I believe, may be the sage with the answer...any and all input welcome. It's driving me crazy.

I think the BP-H90 was first, but I'd have to look back. They're basically the same bow though. Kinda like the BP-H70 and the Predator are the same bow. Ive been researching some older Ben Pearson's recently, and the modern Pearson website has most of the old catalogs in PDF form where you could check it out, but as of this week, about half of them weren't downloading properly for me. I've checked with them and they are trying to get them back working. Those models should both be early '70s.

I think Matt has it. If you google Ben Pearson model 7388 there are lots of references to both bow names with the same model number so at some point it appears the bow name was changed to Gamester. I did see serial numbers for both model 7388 bows and the Gamester had a much higher serial number but the prefixes were different too.

Many thanks. Will try the Pearson page and check out those old catalogs. Look forward to future chats. Awesome!

I have been on a search for a lefty Gamester for a while. I saw a young lady shooting one at one of our club shoots. It's a nice little bow. Looks well made with no frills. Since then I have been watching for one. My favorite Pearson is the 709 Hunter model. I think many Ben Pearson bows are overlooked by collectors and shooters for older Bears, Wings, and others. I like nearly all vintage bows ;)
