What is you opinion of Morrison metal ilf riser? Pictures of your set up?
How about Dryad ilf limbs on a Morrison? Dryad epic limbs or legend limbs?
Morrison, Sky, DAS, TT, Hoyt Satori, etal.... they're all very good. I wouldn't recommend one over the other. I think it just becomes as simple as aesthetics and personal "feel."
The limbs you mention will be very functional and work well on any ILF riser.
I have a 13" Morrison alum riser that I had Dyrad Epic limbs on. Shoots very well.
I have an older phoenix and just received an xd today, needless to say I like em. The length makes for a standard amo bow so a standard amo string works perfect. The other risers I've tried are shorter, in spite of their stated length, so getting the right length string turns into a pain in the... I also like the enclosed limb pockets, when unstrung you don't have to worry about the limbs falling out. I can't help you on the dryad limbs and can't post any pics.
I have one with Border Hex 6's and I like it. If you prefer shooting off the shelf w/ a plunger the Morrisons have a lower hole as well as an upper to facilitate this. Metal ILF risers are typically cut further past center than the standard 3/16ths you're used to on wood. If one doesn't go the plunger route or use some type of laterally adjustable elevated rest, you'll likely have to build the sideplate out a bit further than you may be used to.
There's nothing not to like.
Awesome risers ,I've got many and his max 4 limbs also.my favorite is the 15inch
They are my favorite ILF risers.
I shot the 15" and 17"
I have a new Covert Hunter riser coming and I sold my old one, so being without a bow for 14 weeks is an issue.
I just picked up a used 17" Phoenix with a set of medium Black Max 2.0 limbs.
Plan on shooting it for the first time tomorrow.
I was planing on selling it once my Border riser arrives, but might just keep it as a spare. Especially if I can find a set of Hex 6.5 or 6.6 ILF limbs for it.
