Guys putting some on my bow.
I've seen some installed just tied on themselves... Others are tied using serving material ..
How did you do it
Here's one way...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6WNxTLPJW0

X2 with hitman. They turn out really nice. Not sloppy like some. I'm in to aesthetics.
I used that video to do my cat whiskers and it work very well. I also found multi colorred rubber on the internet so I could mix it up and have 2 tone. Make for some cool silencers.
I use the same method mentioned in the video, it works very well for me. I haven't tried them but the bass lure skirts come in some cool colors.
I've never liked the idea of rubber silencers. Ive always used fur and loved it.
Then I bought my now most favorite ever longbow from Dan Toelke. He makes the strings and puts in rubber silencers. When I realized that, I figured Id just replace them with my fur. However, after I shot it a bit I decided to give them a chance. After several months now, I actually love them. Dan changed my mind about them, and im certainly glad I held an open mind. Im going to have to learn to install them myself now...lol!
Hit man thanks for the video !
I use that same video to install cat whiskers. I like the "puff" you get. I do not secure them with glue until I am satisfied about any noise. Seems different bows like them in different positions.
I use lengths of old bowstring, but for all the fuss I am temped to buy a spool of new stuff.
I really like to use small cable ties .
Very quick and easy .

I go with our Hawaiian friend. They look nice and work well. >>>------> Ken
I like Ryan's shorter whiskers that resemble a small ball on the string. I noticed that the long ones slap the string and make their own noise.
I do all min like that now, have used wool yarn, fur and leather, none work better for me than the short whiskers.
I use the same video posted by Hitmantoto. I have a few bows with beaver fur silencers but mostly rely on catwhiskers. Don't add significant weight when wet.
I use the 3" zip ties I get at Walmart instead of serving material. Quick and easy to install.
Hit man, well done
