It's been quite a while since my last post. For a while there I pretty much left traditional gear on the shelf and haven't finished a couple projects that I started. College was kicking my rear and I had lost the fun in archery. Then today I decided to check on here and I thought about what I was missing. And I just wanted to log on again and thank y'all for reminding me of what I love most about traditional archery. The community, the family that we are. Y'all saved me from picking up the wheel bow again. I'm gonna try to be more active on here in the future and will be posting about the projects as I pick them up again. Once again thank y'all and have a great day.
Oh, the wheel bow isn't as bad as Leprosy as any other horrific disease.

Hey James
Good to see you back. Pretty sure most of us have had to take breaks from the bow between school, military, diaper changin' and such. That ember is always burning to light the fire whenever time allows.
Good luck

Welcome back "fellow" WV bowhunter! I came back from the "dark side" about 20 years ago. Definitely more challenging, but I wouldn't have it any other way!
Looking forward to your posts.

Yeah school is way more important . Give it your all. We are mostly old men that don't have anything better to do. Once you get out of school and into the rest of your life's daily grind you will need this escape.
So glad to see school didn't end the journey we all love. From one mountaineer to another, welcome back. What county do you reside? I am in Mason county.
my buddy has a saying. traditional archery is a jealous lover. if you cant devote a lot of time to it, its gonna be tough. I still shoot the wheels with sights and release and also have a barebow for fingers with no sights. I love anything that shoots an arrow. That said, the simplicity and just plain fun of traditional archery cannot be touched.
