As some of you know , I make things with antler .
I have several that are so sun bleached that they have become chalky and crumble easy .
My idea was to put Minwax Wood Hardener on and see if that would stabilize them .
I was concerned about the color change but I think this has worked very well .

In case you can't tell , I did the one on the left . It sucked the hardener up like a piece of toast dunked in coffee .
I'm sure it's going to buff out to a mirror finish .

I used to rub wood glue into the antlers it worked also but probably not as good as what you did and it looks as if you gave some color back .
