So I was putting up my double bull for turkey season. I had it laid out and my head rammed under it to pop it up when it happened.
He came under the side of it and attacked. Well, I thought it was an attack.
The neighbor's dog from a mile away came to see me unannounced, I didn't know he was on the planet til he made it in the folded up blind with me. He was just happy to see me!
Man I wish we had video of all the ruckus we had going for a bit there. It was funny after I found out it wasn't a saber tooth tiger or sumpin.
Probably got your heart rate up for a minute or two.
:biglaugh:
Lol, I can't stop!!!
lol :biglaugh:
I said words I didn't even know I knew. :biglaugh:
Had to pet him and talk to him after the excitement. He wasn't nearly as excited as I was....
:biglaugh:
Deno
Lol
LOL, good story!
That would really be exciting!
That's just to funny......
Sometimes a dog will piddle if he gets too excited... if you catch my drift.
Charlie, sometimes a guy will too....if you get my drift. :saywhat:
Them dang friendly dogs anyway. I had a chocolate lab and his fuzzy five pound side kick come and say Hi one day three years ago. I gave them each a dog treat to keep them busy while i got ready. I thought it worked, until when I was sitting on a hill side almost a mile from my car, I saw them trailing me. I had a dog sitting on each side of me. When a yearling buck came by they chased it away and came back acting like they had done a good thing and were begging for a treat and danged if i didn't have them in my pocket. Whenever I park there I have no fear of being attacked by a deer, a coyote or anybody else, they act like my body guards.
You pooped in them britches didn't ya Mr. Kenny? What happens on Pow Wow stays on Pow Wow. Or it should anyhow!
Ha that's a good story! Dogs sure do have a way of showing up where they aren't expected don't they?
LOL!!!! I was walking to hunt turkey and had an uneasy feeling I was being followed. I turned around and 10' behind me was someone's wolf Malamute cross. Huge dog yet never made a sound.
Oh wow   :biglaugh:
Good story...Dogs are the best.
:bigsmyl: :campfire:
Now that's funny Kenny! And a free heart test.
I'm just glad it wasn't in the dark!! I might have stained em then!!
I gotta take some treats next time. Told bro that may be the most excitement of this season!!
Gotta train him to retrieve turkey after the shot. Funny story!

I just hope he ain't laying in wait when I get there in the early morn to hunt. Don't need another stress test yet. :scared:
After we (I) settled down, he just went on down the fenceline and chased up a rabbit like nothin happened. Well, I guess he was right..... :biglaugh:
This reminds me of a time I was making my way in the dark across a horse pasture that had Belgian horses .
When I started the horses were in the opposite corner .
One of them got behind me without me hearing it and with it's muzzle in the back of my neck .....PPPPPFFFFTT
I didn't need any coffee that morning .
That's awesome! I bet your heart rate rose and fight or flight hit overdrive on that one for moment or three!!
:biglaugh: :biglaugh:
Good stuff Kenny. Nothing like real life to provide us with free entertainment.

I hunted a place where I had to cross a large pasture that had a lone horse in it. I shared an apple with that horse one evening. The next morning that horse came running up and nosed me in the back, knocking me down. I got up thinking I was in for a fight, but no the old gal just wanted to say 'howdy'. Later that morning I shared another apple before i crossed the pasture, she kept nudging me. I found a handy high spot and jumped on her back expecting to get buck off. She walked me to my car. After that, I shared an apple with her and rode across the pasture, over a half mile, she hung around until I was going back and she would take me back to my car. I think horses get lonesome when left alone too much.
