He would have turned 89 today.

Yes, Mr. Swinehart was the real deal. It's great to bring guys like him up every so often, its a shame how many hunters... even traditional bowhunters...don't know about some (or most) of the pioneers.  I first read Sagittarius when I was very young, what an adventure!  With so much commercialization in hunting today those hunts and those times are sadly past, but can be kept alive with the memories of those that lived them.  And how many "big time hunting celebrities" today would go hunt Africa (REAL Africa) for several months.....living on hard pretzels?      :)

Does anybody know where you can find his books to read but not purchase all of the libraries around here don't have them and they are too expensive for me to purchase
