I was plowing a field last week and spotted this little beauty. I have found a few made in this fashion but this is probably the best example. Guess I wasn't the first person to have the idea. That's the first single bevel stone I've ever seen. Very cool!
That is cool......
Very neat , thanks for sharing .
Any doubt the single bevel is an ancient idea? :readit:
awesome find!
Ill be darn..... that is something
well Ill be dipped. that is an old primitive single bevel broadhead. Very cool!
Too cool!
Very nice.
That may be a drill point instead of an arrow or atlatl head. Pretty cool whatever it is.
I have seen some single bevel heads, not as pronounced as this one though. Was told that they had been re-sharpened while on the shaft, making it hard to get to both sides on each edge so only one side was sharpened. Whether it is true is only a guess.
That is very cool, indeed!
Nice find

All the drills I have seen or read about look similar to this white one in the middle of the frame

Now that's just cool!!!!
Wouldn't you love to know its story? Who made it? How it got to that spot where you plowed it up? Did it take game? Nice find.
Great stuff!
