Ordered some victory ripxv's in 340, 400, and 500 spine. Anyone know what size of xx75 aluminum will work for footing these? Tried a 2018 from footing some Easton axis, too big. 1816 maybe?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance
Do you have means to measure the outside diameter?
Yeah, an old vernier caliper. If my math is correct, it measures .2422" OD and a 1816 should be somewhere around .2493" ID(again, if my math is correct=
18/64 - (16/1000 x2).
Also wondering if anyone else has any opinions on these shafts. Trying to dump some weight to get down around 9.5-10GPP while still using 250gr points. I like 250gr, lots of options for good 125gr heads with 125gr steel adaptors or whatever mix i end up with.
Thanks again in advance.

Found it. Guess an 1816 will be the best guess. Gives me .007 of slop to fill with epoxy.
I'm kinda afraid to see what everyone thinks i should be, spine wise, but whatever. Drawing about 55lb @ 29.5" DL, bear takedown cut to center, thin calf hair plate with a bump of thin leather directly over throat of grip, skinny FF string, standard inserts with 250gr points. Release isn't the greatest in the world.
What do you guys think? Full length shafts are only 30.875 BOP to VON, 350s-500s.
Thanks again guys
I just ran some 2114s on warrior .500 shafts. thats only .001 play and it worked great with regular super glue. Warrior O.D:.300/ 2114 I.D :.301.
i would think the 400-350 spine would be closest.
Nice. Just for poops and giggles i put a 350 on my homemade amo spine tester. Deflected to .310", 26" span, 2lb weight centered. According to an old chart i found online that equates to about a 84lb spine. Funny, my 85-90 woodies tune pretty well with 250 up front. Granted, waaay different center line relationship with the micro diameter carbon, but odd. I'll be doing some bareshaft shooting tomorrow to see what's up.
1816's are perfect. I wouldn't call .002 a lot of "slop" :D
FWIW, I use 1916's for my .300 spine RIP XV's.
Thanks all.

Top tear was 500 spine, bottom was the 350s. 500 skidded off my knuckle. 350s should work with a little trim i think. Scary having a carbon skid off the hand. Doubt I'll be shooting it ever again!
Here are some aluminum dimensions.Actually, someone once said that he found .007" to be just about the right amount of play.Sounds like you've got it.
