Title: Limb bolt quiver recommendations
Post by: Fattony77 on April 05, 2017, 07:23:00 PM
I'm looking for recommendations for a limb bolt mounted quiver that won't break the bank. 5-6 arrow capacity preferred. I've seen quite a few, but they all cost $100 or more. So, are there any, more affordable options? (FYI, I have been looking on the classifieds on here with no luck)

Eagles Flight Archery is best known for their strap on quivers but they also offer a limb bolt option. I think their highest capacity might be 5 arrows but they are very light weight compared to some of the other brands. I'm looking at this for myself and like the 5 arrow with the extra long hood for longer broadheads.

I have the plain black Thunderhorn limb bolt quiver for my Sage recurve.  It kinda pivots some when I push an arrow into the foam so I used some nylon cord to tie it tightly in place.  Obviously not the best looking fix, but it worked just fine and I used it like that for a few years.

I ended up taking it apart, installed inserts in the riser, and use it as a bolt on quiver.

I use only thunder horns bolt ons and strap ons. They don't pivot for me unless they are loose. In my opinion they are some of the best ones out there.

I'll look into the Thunderhorn. I like the EFA strap-on that I have, but I didn't know they had a limb bolt one. Thanks for the suggestions so far. Keep 'em coming!

I have tried most Bolt ons out there and really prefer Great Northerns. Especially the Quick detach option, so you don't have to take down or unstring your bow to take off the quiver. Its really nice for transporting a strung bow in a case. These do come up here and there on the classifieds. Just my .02

Thunder horns are great and are under 100.00 bucks.

Great Northern for me on T.Ds
They have the Quick detach mentioned by Bucknut.

They also slide in or out from the riser with the hardware.I love that  because I can put the quiver very close to the riser for better balance of the bow.Not hanging out to the side too much

Their also pretty lightweight and not oversized.

I like GN Quick Detach. I don't want the quiver on my bow when I'm on stand. Unless these are found used though they cost a bit over $100.  But they last forever.
