I found my old Garmin GPSmap 60CSx...but I can't remember how to back track to a mark. At 71 I'm more than a bit tech ignorant. All I want to do is be able to find my way back to a specific mark. Anyone still use this GPS? Or do I need to buy a newer/simpler GPS.
I'm not sure how to backtrack..but you should be able to mark the spot you want to get back to as a waypoint. Then when you get ready to go back, just pull up the waypoint and click go.
Mark a location, and when you are ready to return to it. Hit the find button then scroll over to waypoints and hit the enter button and the most recent waypoint should be first. Select it and hit enter, GO will be on the screen, hit the enter button and start walking. Hope I didn't make it sound too hard, just didn't want to leave out any steps. PM me if you have any problems.
John
You can also use the tracks option where it leaves the trail that you walked and you can follow it back. It can be turned on or off from the main menu/setup/tracks/track log. I use this option. Hope this helps. John
Hold the GPS upside down, follow the arrow backwards -
