Title: Cooked up a new arrow (pics)
Post by: BRONZ on March 30, 2017, 10:10:00 PM
Decided to fix what wasn't broken and put together a new arrow.
Beman ICS Bowhunter 400, full length, std 21 grain insert with a 200 grain VPA 3-blade up front. My calculations yield a 505 grain arrow with my custom wraps.

Turkey time is almost here!

You can see the good tears once I got the nock position dialed in. Gotta love a well-tuned set up!

A dark, and menacing look to them.  They turned out very cool!  Good luck during turkey season.

Take Care, Chase

Nice arrows. I also use the Beman ICS arrows. I love them.

I saw your arrows but dang got some bone all over the wall. Both look really good. Been thinking about those VPA 3 blades myself.

Stinks that the archery opener is on a Tuesday though. Good luck buddy.

Those arrows look good, but i hope that is not the holes they are tearing in the paper tuning pic!!!     :scared:      :scared:      :scared:

OK, just read your second post, and went back and looked at the pic again. If the bullet holes are the final result, you done good!

Yes sir, Bisch. That's a bare shaft paper tune punching a bullet hole....not a fletched arrow. They're darts with wickedness on the front end!
