I just added this beauty to by bow rack yesterday. I have owned several of Dave's bows over the years, and ended up parting ways with them after I injured my elbow, and have always missed them. Paul designed such a great bow! They are great performers, and so stable (as many of you know).
Anyway, just thought I would show this one off. It was a dream to tune up today.....just like all of my other Silvertips! :jumper:

A real beauty..... congrats!!!!
That's one sweet bow Allen! I've always wanted to own one myself just haven't had the right opportunity yet.
I had one that I wish I still had.
Must be the String.... :bigsmyl:
That looks pretty nice............except the shelf being cut on the wrong side of the riser!!!! :scared:
Congrats on your new stick!

Jeff, I felt a LITTLE guilty taking time out from string building for customers today to build one for myself! Just a little..... :biglaugh:

Bisch, being a lefty has it's benefits. Over the years, several of us lefties on here have became very good friends. When we need to buy or sell a bow, we just pick up the phone! That's how I ended up with this one.
nice one Allen!
Nice looking bow, congratulations. Is that some sort of action wood in the riser,or some regular woods? What are the limbs?
I can tell yall this much, that string sure isn't hurting anything!

The riser is Rosewood and Charcoal Dymondwood. The limbs are stained rosewood and charcoal dymondwood also. It's a really nice looking rig.

Nice Allen! I agree with you 100% , they shoot really good especially with one of your strings.
Congrats on your new bow.
Sweet, yes you had quite a few of them :saywhat:
Those limbs look good with that bow.
I need to buy one for myself someday!

Felix, I think you are the Silvertip King! :notworthy:
That's sweet. They are as good as it gets.
Allen congrats on the find, I have seen a few lefties over the years but the weight was always a problem. One of these days
I hope to find one us old folks can shoot.
RW
I know that bow- in fact I was thinking about it yesterday wondering what the owner was doing with it. The limbs worked very nicely on my 19 inch riser. Congrats Allen
Bill, I was going to call you today to talk about it. You know where it is if you ever need it. I'm never the guy who keeps a bow from it's "real" owner! Anything for you Bill.
Looks great Allen!
Without a doubt my go to bow. There a "a couple" on the rack at my house.
D.P.
Shes a nice one for sure. I dont remember if I saw the specs.
Great looking bow Allen I am sure you will have some good tree time together

Keith, it's 62" and 49 at my 27" draw
Looks great allen I've never held a tip maybe one day!!
Another nice one Brother. I miss my tip. I'll hopefully have another one day.
That looks nice. I have often thought that someday I will order one of the big 2 in my eyes (Blacktail of Silvertip). If my memory serves me you have both now? How do they compare?
Congrats Allen! My all time favorite recurve :archer2:
Sharp looking bow Allen.
Very nice!

Caleb, I don't have the Blacktail now. The grip on it was causing pain in my right hand. That originates from the elbow injury that I suffered a few years ago. I REALLY miss that bow!
Both are fantastic bows!
Allen your Blacktail found a good home . I have both and it's pretty much a toss up as to how they shoot for me. Both are fantastic as Allen says.

Take good care of her Stan! Yep, they both are fantastic bows. I would definitely give the Blacktail the nod on aesthetics!
She's not going anywhere and neither are my Schafer's! Can't go wrong with either one. Both look great and grips are different but either works for me. I would give a slight nod to the Schafer's checkered grip though.
Allen ,
Nice one, better keep her. :bigsmyl:
I have 7 bows on the rack and 5 of them are Schafers.

Wow!! That is a beauty!! I was gonna ask who made the string......but I was late to this party....haha
BTW - The strings that you made me are great! And you are right, the "lefty" community is a fairly small one....looking thru this thread I see several lefties that I have dealt with numerous times over the years!!

Yep, I have both bought and sold bows that I had no intention of just because a friend on here called me up and wanted to make a deal!
