Drove up to Baltimore bowman yesterday to attend the odd year gathering to find the gates locked. Would have been nice to know it was cancelled by email or a post here. Anybody else make the drive?
Four hour drive for the h*ll of it.
Sorry you made the trip for naught. I am sure it was an honest error that wasn't intentional. It still stinks when it happens to you but not worth dwelling over either.
With the snow storm we had I can't believe people wouldn't check the PBS forum before leaving.

Guess what, it would've have mattered there is nothing posted. There is no snow where I live and very little up there.
Hey T, sorry you made the trip for naught. Larry Schwartz posted on the PBS forum on the 15th that the OYG had been postponed due to the storm. I hope you can get to the make-up date. Right now it is #9 on the Campfire thread. jim

I missed the post even though I was looking for it. Not the end of the world that's for sure. Meant a friend there so we had a beer and some eats then drove home. Just saw on BPS where one guy drove 547 miles so I don't feel too bad. :bigsmyl:
I switched my work schedule and worked 8 midnights in a row so I could be off for the shoot. I missed out on some good snow overtime since I was working normal shift durning it.
We use to host a PBS forum and their site....Till someone decided otherwise. :(
We've always supported PBS ever since our inception and we still do. Posts for Banquets, Raffles and membership drive threads. We support what ever they are doing.
Wish someone would post here as to what's up so we could keep up with it....
As a matter of fact, I think I might need to renew. Need to check into that.
:campfire:
Tim Denial posted last week on LW with the comment "Details on the PBS website". He did not post here however.
BTW all, the event will be held at Baltimore the same weekend as the BBTC, May 19, 20, 21.
I'll be there unless it snows. :biglaugh:
Not to add insult to injury but I saw it on Facebook too.
The P.B.S. Odd Year shoot will be July 14, 15 and 16, at Ojibwa Bow Club in New Berlin WI. I will guarantee no snow for that one.
You need to understand that Larry waited till the last minute, before cancellation. Snow was to deep, and the place was a mud hole. Right now, we are looking for a replacement day. It has been suggested that we combine our shoot with the Baltimore Bowman's shoot in Mid May.Larry is checking with BB to see if this is possible. We are in the Applachian region. Check the PBS websight under regional programs for any updates.
Sounds like when the Griswolds went to Wally World!
We had not only snow but sleet and freezing rain to put a layer of ice on everything. They couldn't get the ATVs out even to set targets safely. I live up here so it was pretty obvious to me but I sympathize with those who didn't see our weather or were from the south and made the trip.
