***On another note*** I had to cancel my longbow order, so unfortunately no images or reviews. We had too many unexpected trips to the mainland this year.
You should be here today , we have 20° with a strong breeze .
⛄⛄⛄
Awesome, looking forward to meeting you :shaka:

You are coming at a great time. The Compton event is always a fantastic one. Not quite sure if I will be able to make it this year (all depends on what Little League Baseball has planned for that weekend. The boys' entertainment has priorities over mine).
See you in a month Brah.

We're looking forward to it! As soon as the waves calm down, we'll be doing some scouting... ;)
I will be there to here your talk for sure. I love the Compton shoot!!!
You should stick around for a few more weeks Ryan and make it to etar
Have a great trip Ryan and Staci. :archer2:
The wife, kids and I will be attending as well for the first time. We hit up the total archery challenge in Boyne Mountain last year but it was tough with the kids and my wife's knee was acting up.
Compton's appears to have a more kid friendly venue and it appears our canvas tent will fit right in. I've already started fletching up alot of arrows as well as some spiral flu flus for the Aerials!!
Its an awesome event. I worked the Flu flus last year on Saturday night. For the first timers you DONT any arrows for the ariels. They have hundereds of them that are separated in spine. You just show up and pay a dollar and you shoot 5 arrows. The guys that are working will hand out batches of 5 to each person. Compton is always a fun time except I usually go broke lol.

I'm a first timer...and this is good news. Saved me a bag of flu-flus.
Just, now my wife is going to be wondering why I have a wad of singles in my pocket. :dunno:
That's pretty cool, Ryan! I wish I could be there too.

lol. Brings lots of singles. Itsnalitnif fun and usually on Friday they do a money shoot too. It's 1 dollar for 3 ****s at a bear target that's about 110yards out. If you hutgthe dollar bill you win the pot. That's an addiction too lol.
Looking forward to meeting you Ryan.

Really? I was looking but didn't see any other trad archers there. Felt kind of weird being the ONLY person around with a longbow. You coming back this year?
The Rendezvous sounds great. I wish it was closer.

We camped at Young State Park. Got there Thursday late afternoon, then shot all day on Friday. We camped one more night then departed on Saturday afternoon. We're smack dab in the middle of Boyne and Berrien Springs....We figured if we're traveling that distance, that we're going to hit up the Trad venue. Plus camping seems cheaper and range passes are cheaper, even with a Comptons membership. It also appears we may be able to shoot more arrows. We're excited.
