I went for unit 40. Should be beautiful. Have to throw in my flyrod.

I was "successful" in drawing a cow tag. Hopefully I'll be "successful" in filling it.   :D

I had a 40 tag a very long time ago (1992)--the lone year I was a resident during a Wyoming elk season.

I'm sure you will find better and fresher intel than what I have to offer BUT I am of course willing to tell you what I know if you want it!

Actually, I take that back, I was less than a year in Wyoming at the time (requirement  is 1 year for residency) and I actually had gotten that tag back then as a leftover.

Not this year but I was just putting in for the point pretty sure I wouldn't draw.

I was pretty sure I wouldn't draw either. It takes about 8 for the area I want. I have 4.
And 2 moose points! Only about 16 more years to go for that moose tag.

Steve, thank you for the offer. Got to love the trad community.
I have gotten some good help already. But am always looking for more. I am going to try and get out there for some boots on the ground before the season.

I think Laramie Peak is actually 7
19 is north west of 7 and south of Casper but it's all big country out there    :)  

I've got two cow tags again in 7 and I can see Laramie Peak most of the time.

19 is considered Muddy Mountain.  Bill, I'm glad you pulled the trigger on that hunt.  Should be a good'n!

just points for me.   I still may buy left over cow tag.  next year I should draw.  its every three years for me in the unit I go to.
