Title: The classifieds paid off!
Post by: Bluefeather on February 27, 2017, 10:25:00 PM
I was reluctant to pay for the classifieds but bit the bullet and did it anyway this year. I'm happy I did because I just received a beautiful 1pc, 64", 50# Asbell era Bighorn recurve from WDElongbow and want to give him a big thumbs up for a smooth transaction.

It's the only way to fly... I mean buy!

Congrats, enjoy your new bow.

Sounds nice!I like the looks of the 1 PC.You don't see too many Bighorns below 55#s.I think that's a pretty hard to find bow in that length, poundage and in a 1 PC.

Congrats on your score!

I fully agree about the Classifieds here.  I have purchased bow quivers, wild turkey feathers, and most recently a bow that I have wanted and is no longer available.  Every purchase was ideal, in that everything was just as described, the transactions were smooth and, the gentlemen I dealt with were extremely nice and helpful.  That $30 was easily the best money I have spent on archery.  Just another reason this is by far my favorite site on the web.

Thanks for sharing.  I've been thinking about subscribing.

I've subscribed to the classifieds since the subscription was put in place. No regrets.

I've bought and sold bows on two archery forums.  Most have been on this one (by far).  Very smooth, trouble and stress-free transactions here.

For most of the past decade I always wondered how someone could be cheated in an internet sale. I no longer doubt it can happen because it ALMOST happened to me twice, but not here.

I would love to know how these scammers can be tracked down and prosecuted.  There NEEDS to be a way.

My interest in buying and selling has waned greatly over the past two years. I will try to refrain from subscribing to the classifieds this next year because I no longer need a market.  If I subscribe I might be tempted to break my intent to buy no more bows.  Then someone will surely list a LH Snakebit, Stalker Schleyer, or Cascade??

I'm not as active a buyer/seller as a lot of the gang, but over 6 years, all 6 of the bows I've bought, and the one I've sold, have been through the classifieds.  Oh wait, one of them was via the St Jude auction. Point is, it's been a good market for me.

The classifieds on this site is what got me back into shooting and hunting after taking a break.  All the bows that I couldn't afford when I was younger where here just waiting for me.  And Ive tried them all now!  A big thanks to this site and all the fine folks I have dealt with over the years.  Bryan

The membership fee is, for me, an entertainment charge. I get a tremendous amount of enjoyment just browsing the ads.

Every once in a while I buy something and that's a freebee extra  :)
