WOW, WHAT AN OUTSTANDING WEEKEND!!!
First, I'd like to thank those that help me so much. My wife Rhonda (of course), Scott & Val Gray, Gary Zimmer, Johnny Lee, Mike Carlton and his grandson Jacob, a newby, Rex and my friend Jerald Simmons as well. I'd like to also thank Johnny Stelly's grandson Johnny Richard & Punkin' for bringing the cooking pots for the chili Saturday night.
I want to thank Compton Traditional Bowhunters for being here and holding a TREMENDOUS children's event on Saturday.
Thanks to all the Vendors at the event that donate to the raffle for the Boy Scout Camp. a special thanks to Steve Turay "Northern Mist Longbow", Jim Babcock "Big Jim's Bow Co.", Johnathan Karch "3Rivers Archery", Neil Byce "Bear Archery", Mark Witlock, Jr. "Mark's Outdoor Sports", Ken Thompson "Thompson Traditional Archery", Tracey Belowski "St. Joe River Bows", Bass Pro Shop and Academy Sports & Outdoors.
There was a great turnout and I have no doubt the optional competition was a big hit. I believe the plaques with the "American Traditional Archer" logo were beautiful. Mentioning the awards, the packages that Teresa Asbell put together for the Men's & Women's winners were truly OUTSTANDING!
I couldn't have had better weather if I had special ordered it, we were truly blessed.
Thanks to all the folks that came out to help make the 8th Pre Spring Arrow Fling a GREAT EVENT.

Great Shoot Terry... Thanks for all that you do for the sport.
Thanks Terry and your crew of merry men and women! Another great shoot and the weather was outstanding for the week end and quite warm in fact for February on that first Friday afternoon.
Targets were great and having a full 40 sure tested your mettle if you shot it straight through.
My only complaint was my shooting regressed :scared: but that was the fault of many many excuses :biglaugh:
By the way who won the new competition? I thought it was a good add on to the already great event.
Great shoot,we had a great time with some old friends, the weather was beautiful ,Thank you for all you do!
John, I'll post all the winners as soon as I kind catch my breath and get some things put away.

No Problem take your time.
Hate we missed it again. Last three years have been missed due to daughter's busy high school schedule but hopefully next year.

Congrats to all!
I'd like to add something here.
Even though the Pre Spring Arrow Fling has been successful being a non-competitive event these past several years, there IS NO DOUBT, adding an optional "1st Round Competition" was a HUGE success as well.
I would venture to say there was approximately 99 % of the people that registered wanted to compete.
Yep, the 1st round optional competition will stand.
Thank you all again, for your support.

I had a great time again this year. Thanks for putting on a good shoot Terry and helpers!
Thank you for putting on a great event. I had a blast and shooting 40 targets was awesome and definitely challenging. Do we know how many people ended up shooting? I'd like to know because it seemed like a very good turn out.
Brady, there were 451 registered shooters.thanks for the kind words.

I would loved to have made the shoot! I tried up to the last minute to convince the wife that 13 hr drive wouldn't seem to bad if we left at night but she wasn't falling for it. I'm planning to be there next year though. Sounds like a great time. With slot of good people.
Steve Jr
Steve, I believe you'd have enjoyed yourself, as well as your wife.
I think next year will be even better.
